NOWHERE TO PUT IT
The doctor said
I should learn to express my feelings,
so the burden gets lighter.
But tell me,
who do I share it with?
To parents already worn by pain?
To a sister carrying more than her name?
To friends who smile,
but never really stay?
To the wind
who has its own storms anyway?
I hold it in,
not because I want to
but because I don’t know
where else it can go.
I should learn to express my feelings,
so the burden gets lighter.
But tell me,
who do I share it with?
To parents already worn by pain?
To a sister carrying more than her name?
To friends who smile,
but never really stay?
To the wind
who has its own storms anyway?
I hold it in,
not because I want to
but because I don’t know
where else it can go.
