I just realized—

when someone says,

“I think I’m a terrible person,”

they’re not asking you to judge them.
They’re showing you trust.

It’s not really about
the mistake they made
it’s about the heart
they chose to show you.

So don’t just hear the guilt.
See the courage it takes
to fall apart
in front of someone
they believe won’t run.
